The Neurological Practice was formed by Nikki Penny to provide specialist physiotherapy rehabilitation to people with a neurological condition. Nikki graduated in 1990 with a BSc in Physiotherapy and has worked as a chartered physiotherapist for the last 25 years.
She developed a passion for neurology, working in units such as Stoke Mandeville Sussex Rehabilitation Centre and the Wolfson Neurological Unit, London. Nikki studied the Bobath Concept extensively, becoming Advanced Bobath trained and spending seven years on the British Bobath Tutor Training Programme.
She also explored other approaches such as the gym ball, progressive resistance training, orthotics and treadmill-based neurological gait training, and remains active in teaching therapists about movement and treatment.
Nikki believes in a shared partnership with her patients and strives to help them identify and reach their goals.
